The facilitator will identify all the current problems within the team, problems from past events, problems that the team has identified and solved on their own, the root cause of the problems, the root cause of the current problems within the team. The facilitator will help the team agree on solutions and a plan to implement these solutions (Fiore et al., 2017).

I believe that this works best when the team already has an established, effective problem-solving process in place. The facilitator can guide the team through this process if it does not already exist or help the team define and clarify their process if it does not already exist. A thorough understanding of the team’s process and what its current problems are. The facilitator should know the team well enough to understand how they work best.
