Please write a six to seven page research paper about ONE (1) of the topics listed below. The paper should be double-spaced, well-organized (please use sub-headings) and grammatically correct. Additionally, cite all of your work. It does not matter what citation methodology you use, but accurately identify where your sources came from. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Please pick reputable sources to cite from.

I will be grading based upon the grading rubric (see below). Please use that as a guide to help you get the maximum points for this assignment.

All papers should be uploaded into canvas on or before December 9, 2021. No hard copies or late papers will be accepted.

Topics (PLEASE PICK ONLY ONE): 

1. What sort of influence does information piracy (e.g., music, film, etc.) have on business profitability? Consider examples where piracy was encouraged to spread word? Discuss how intellectual property effects these businesses and how internet and social media laws (DMCA laws) interplay with piracy. Please use present day examples.

2. How does the process of signing a long-term contract with a larger business entity create undue influence and duress? And are these appropriate reasons for a breach of contract? Discuss contract formation, consideration, and any defenses that may exist. Please use examples to support your argument.

3. Identify at least three challenges when setting up a business. Explain why they are challenges. Discuss agency formation in your answer. Additionally, how does corporate directors, officers and shareholders play into these challenges. Please use examples to support your argument.
